Easily alive, but it’s composure puzzles me a bit. Acidity dominates, strong oaky attack (too much for my taste and this age), but there’s no fruit left. At least not the fresh one. Nose and aftertaste are very tertiary. Tea, prunes, mushrooms, the whole lot. Loved the nose, not to crazy about this oak punch and the balance. Hmmm…would love to retry and give it more breathing time.
