Early nose shows age (mushrooms, rancio, bisquit) and pleasant dustiness, but quickly evolves into the dominance of tea, touch pasley and saltwater toffee (tangy, but not sweet). Mineral (flint) and savory. Tannins are quite strong. While this wine saw its share of new barriques, I can’t say it was an overkill. Not bad at all for a modernist.
