Produced by Podere Capaccia – a small estate (5 ha & ~18k btls) from Radda in Chianti, the Querciagrande inProbably questionable storage. Feels older and more disconnected than it should be. Although it could also be the sign of short and aggressive maceration coupled with barrique ageing. Not sure what their practice was in 1998. Hardly any freshness left, although acidity and tannins are agile. Overall – not bad/spoiled, but rather a result of the circumstances.
