|Region:||Italy / Piemonte / Barolo|
A very modern take on Barolo. Too early to drink; its massive body throws you around more like a sumo wrestler than the aikido master. However, I am often perplexed by wines like this one – it is, by and large, a very well crafted wine, but somewhere behind or amidst this craftsmanship the Barolo is lost. Fun to try, but overpriced and lacks the Barolo essence. Maybe 1 more years will give it some elegance.
