Originally, this was the vintage that put me onto this wine. It still has the widest reach (at the cost of leading with terroir) in terms of appeal within the vertical. Secondary aromas dominate, with fruit not quite gone, but definitely distant. Tobacco and stewed strawberry are interesting late developments. Best if drunk within 2 hrs of opening.
