Although displaying the typical Merlot characteristics, in this instance they are slightly subdued and balanced off by more green and earthy layers. Neither color nor flavor suggest its approach to a decade. Decanting for 2-3 hours is a must. In my case – it actually tasted much better and classier on the next day (4 hrs in decanter and 24 hrs in an opened bottle). Mr. Tsolis, my hat remains off!
