|Producer:||Descendientes De J. Palacios|
|Region:||Spain / Bierzo|
Tasty and hugely charming balance of fruits and barnyard (as per typical Mencia), not unlike a Bordeaux twice the Petalos’ age. Although an entry-level position in the line of Alvaro Palacios and his nephew Picardo Perez’ efforts, this is a serious wine which transforms its berry-blast core into wisdom and character with age. Two years ago it was much tighter and two-dimensional. Evolution is interesting and rewarding. At 10 years old this one will be oh-so-wonderful.
