It was a very pleasant, alas confusing encounter. I enjoyed the subtle whiff of salty sea breeze amidst the creamy apple & lemon tartness and mild yeastiness.
Even a touch of oxidation was nice. But structure and texture, almost too soft, puzzled me. I would’ve liked crispier acidity. Like a good photograph which is slightly out of focus.
Still very enjoyable, but not precise.
Perhaps this imperfection and the internal debate it provokes is part of its charm.
Of course, it could also be just an off bottle.
