Still young and brash, a little clumsy, a bit off-balance and somewhat anxious. Cabernet dominates in the 5/5 mix while Merlot smoothens the middle. Loads of blackcurrant berries, tobacco and leather (esp. on the palate). Yet quite fresh, even with a pinch of minerality. Hugely opaque. That 14% alc. is rearing its ugly head a bit more than I’d like. I recon it should compose itself to a more balanced treat with some age. Would love to taste it at 5-7 yrs.
