||Name:||Rancia Chianti Classico Riserva|
|Region:||Italy / Toscana|
It’s serious, buttoned-up, aged, but with a boisterous streak which requires time in a glass to present itself. Initial dominance of underbrush and mushrooms subsides allowing cherry-heavy mature fruit mixed with cedar and violets to peek out. Tannins and acidity show little desire to vanish after nearly 2 years, but do turn down the intensity. Probably should’ve been drunk younger.
